Nottingham Forest are read hot favourites to win League 1 at best price odds 3/1 with Bet 365. Forest were leading this division at Christmas last season, but bottled it and eventually lost out in the playoffs. However, they have strengthen their squad with a good blend of quality players in the likes of Neil Lennon, alongside proved performers in this division Matt Lockwood and and Aaron Davies. Nathan Tyson, Junior Agogo and Kris Commons are three quality strikers that can fire Forest out of the division. However, not since 1995 has a favourite won this division.

Leeds are to start with a 15 point penalty which makes it difficult to see them mounting any sort of title challenge, and will do well to make the playoffs.

Swansea are second favourites for this division at 10/1, despite losing star striker Lee Trundle. Manager Roberto Martinez has brought in a number of foreign signings which may take time to adapt to league 1.

Luton have made some interesting signings, opting for experience in the likes of Chris Perry, Paul Furlong, Paul Peschisolido and Don Hutchinson. At best odds 16/1 with Sky Bet, the hatters make small each way appeal.

At best price 33/1 with Betfair, Carlisle are worth an each way bet. They have secured striker David Grahamís services on a permanent basis after a loan spell where he scored 7 goals in 11 games last season. .
