Borgata Winter Open/ WPT Event - Season 4

The World Poker tour continues in Atlantic City with the $10,000 main event kicking off on the 29th January. The same event in 2005 drew a record 515 players with a $4,995,634 prize pool. Daniel Negreanu (2004 WPT Player of the Year and winner of the 2004 Borgata Poker Open), Phil "the Unabomber" Laak, Jennifer Tilly, David Williams, Antonio Esfandiari, David "the Dragon" Pham and Maciek "Michael" Gracz were among those competing for the WPT title. But in the end, it was Jersey City's Al Ardebili who captured the title and first-place prize of $1,498,650 at the final table.

The Scandinavian Open - EPT/Pokerstars Season 2

The next event in the European Poker Tour is the Scandinavian Open held in Copenhagan. Approximately 300 players will be competing for $1.5m prize pool in the 4 day event.

Goldstrike World Poker Open / WPT Season 4

The World Poker Open returns to Tunica for its seventh year and will be held exclusively at Gold Strike Casino Resort. Attended by both nationally and internationally renowned poker players, the Gold Strike World Poker Open begins Jan. 9 and culminates with the World Poker Tour's championship event January 19-23. Considered one of the biggest and most successful poker tournaments in the world, Gold Strike is now the exclusive site for the World Poker Tour's annual televised stop in Tunica.

The World Poker Open will include 10 tournament events, with buy-ins starting from $1000 up to $10,000 for the WPT championship finale. In addition, there will be 10 nightly no-limit hold'em tournaments with a $500 buy-in + $40 entry fee. The popular Ladies No Limit Hold'em tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21 with a $300 buy in + $40 entry fee. All tournaments start with double chips, including $20,000 in Championship event.
