Tote betting online

Tote placepot, scoop 6, exacta, trifecta and all other tote bets explained

M Tote betting is one of the most popular forms of betting on horses. Rather than placing a fixed odds bet with a bookmaker, all the stakes from tote bets are put into a pool, and this pool is used as the prize fund for all winning bets. As a result, the returns from a tote bet are often higher than a fixed odds bet with a bookmaker.

Tote betting is usually associated with the tote online betting firm, as they own the bet. However, it is also possible to place tote bets with other online bookmakers including Blue Square and Bet 365.
